Whoa, yeah, all of space and time and the only companions he can manage is earth girls? Like, it’s just a bit weird. They have such a great opportunity to make really interesting compelling weird characters and they just… Don’t feel like that would be good companions or something?? 
It’s odd.
I really like having normal people as companions too just because… I don’t know it makes everyone special in a way? You don’t have to be born to ~save the Doctor~ or anything, you can just be someone who cares a whole lot and make a difference that way.

yup yup exactly, it’s so freaking annoying to just push some person in and make EVERYTHING about them and it just feels rude and disresepctful?? hhh and I don’t know, she rubs me the wrong way just like River does. Everyone has to be so special and important, I kind of miss it when it was about insignificant normal people who are amazing too

ppppppretty much, I’m a sucker for a good reference to this dang show’s past and actually having them in this episode was really cool but wow I did not like anything else about this episode even the context of how the classic Doctors came to be in this episode

Last night I was pretty happy to be at work to avoid the Eurovision stuff at home and knowing things will be pretty slow because of it too.
Find out I’m working with two Eurovision fanatics who talk about nothing else and turn up the volume on everything so I get a headache.
